Oops.

The fallen Christmas tree is pretty indicitive of how the Mendenhall household runs. Good intentions with chaotic results. Sure the tree was leaning a bit after Matt put it up, but we didn't think anything of it. I came home from work and all hell broke loose. Well, by hell, I mean the water from the tree was all over the carpet (surgar water, by the way) and we planned a party at our house that eve, so it was operation clean up (sorry MHS friends for the damp carpet! We still had fun though, didn't we?). Matt decided he would saw down the trunk to make it even. I only wish I would have taken a before and after picture of the tree. The tree was gorgy, full, green, took up our entire window...ah...it was nice. I should have paid more attention when Matt walked in with the pruners. Its literally half the size it was, but the good news is we got it to stand straight. Tada!
